Instructions

  1. 01

In a small bowl, mix together the mustard, olive oil, lemon zest, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to create the mustard binder

  2. 02

Place the chicken wings in a large bowl and pour the mustard binder over them. Mix well, ensuring that each wing is evenly coated. Marinate the wings in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight for maximum flavor.

  3. 03

Preheat your smoker according to approximately 250°F.

  4. 04

Remove the wings from the marinade and shake off any excess.

  5. 05

In a small bowl, combine the lemon pepper seasoning, red pepper flakes, and cayenne powder to create the lemon pepper seasoning mixture.

  6. 06

Sprinkle the lemon pepper seasoning mixture evenly over the wings, ensuring all sides are coated.

  7. 07

Place the seasoned wings on the smoker grates and smoke at 225°F for approximately 2 hours, or until the internal temperature of the wings reaches 165°F.

  8. 08

Once smoked and cooked through, move the wings to the top shelf and increase smoker to 310º to allow for crispy wings.

  9. 09

Serve the smoked lemon pepper wings hot as a delicious appetizer or main dish.

  10. 10

Optional: Garnish the wings with additional lemon zest and chopped fresh parsley for extra freshness and presentation.
